Hove Sewing Group was started by Laura O’Sullivan in 2017 to provide a network for those interested in sewing and dressmaking to get together and talk about their favourite hobby.
Since 2025, I have offered sewing classes and 1-1’s to share the joy and escapism of this fascinating and creative skill! Tuition is tailored to each student and suitable for all levels including complete beginners.
I have over fifteen years of experience in education working with learners of all ages. Having worked as a photographer, jeweller and project manager, I bring creativity together with organisational skills in many aspects of my working life. My specialist areas are centred on garment construction and sustainable fashion, combined with a love of textiles, design and craft. I live in Hove with my husband, four children and two sewing machines.
